M.Tech Admission Prospectus M.Tech Admission Form M.Tech Eligibility
Post Graduate Degree Course in Computer Science and Engineering is being offered to the Graduates in Engineering, for awarding Masters Degree in Computer Science and Engineering under University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. The course shall extent over a period of 24 months consisting of 4 semesters.
* 5% Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SEBC. Only candidates belonging to SEBC communities having annual income less than Rs 4.5 lakhs will be eligible for reservation under this category.
* 15% Seats are reserved for SC/ST Candidates.
* The seats reserved for each category will be distributed among the eligible communities by observing the pattern of general reservation rules of the state.
* 3% seats are reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
Candidates must be citizen of India.
The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities and must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering.
Norms may be relaxed to SC/ST or SEBC candidates as per Govt. rules.
Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission.
Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree on or before 30 th September 2019.
Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies. If seats are still remaining vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission. Candidates who have passed qualifying examinations from other Universities / Institutions should produce eligibility certificate.

Application form for admission to M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering can be obtained from the college office from 05-05-2014 in person on payment of Rs. 500/-Application form shall also be downloaded from the website www.bmce.ac.in. Such applications have to be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 500/- in favor of Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering, payable at Sasthamcotta.
The duly filled application forms along with attested copies of necessary documents in proof of eligibility can be submitted directly in person or sent by registered post with A/D to the college office, addressing “The Principal, Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering, Lake View, Muthupilakadu, Sasthamcotta – 690 520, Kollam”.
Applicants shall obtain acknowledgment from the college for applications submitted directly.
Applications submitted to the college should be complete in all respects.
Applications not accompanied by documents in proof of claims of reservations will not be considered in such categories. Documents / certificates submitted after the last date of submission of the application form will not be considered under any circumstance. Late and incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
Copies of all required Certificates/Documents (As per the list given in the Instructions sheet) attested by gazetted officer / Head of Institution where the student had studied, should be submitted along with the application form.
In case of candidates claiming any sort of reservation or special consideration, documents to prove such claims must be submitted along with the application form.
Following original certificates have to be produced at the time of admission. Students are requested to keep necessary photocopies of all certificates before submitting the original certificates to the college office at the time of admission.

In view of the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student or asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student, with or without an intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student, BMCE will take strict actions to curb ragging in the campus as per the All India Council for Technical Education,(AICTE) Regulations.
A copy of the booklet – “Prevention and prohibition of Ragging in technical Institutions” will be issued to each student at the time of admission. This contains affidavits to be signed by the student and by the parent and submitted at the time of admission. Also all students are directed to complete online registration of ant ragging declaration through the website www.antiragging.in or www.amanmovement.org at the beginning of each semester and comply with as required there in.
Candidates must register their names online in the website of Director of Technical Education, Trivandrum (DTE). DTE will prepare a rank list by considering the GATE score/aggregate marks obtained upto 6th semester in the qualifying degree examination. Candidates qualified in ranking by DTE, should submit separate application form to the college for admission in Government Merit seats (50%) as per the Government orders. Institution will conduct admission from this rank list, after inviting separate applications and ascertaining the eligibility for admission as per the norms of the University concerned and following the statutory reservation policy.
Remaining 50% of the seats will be filled up by the management based on the following criteria.

In case a candidate leaves the college after taking admission, he/she will be liable for forfeiture of the fees paid and also will be liable to pay liquidated damages as per existing rules.
For Issue of Application: Immediately after the publication of XII results. For Receipt of Application: Duly filled up application form along with copy of mark list of qualifying exam (XII/equivalent) and Entrance Exam Result (KEAM-14) giving marks of Part I & Part II must reach this office within 5 working days from the date of publication of rank list by CEE Kerala.
Any grievances /complaints regarding selection and admission shall be brought to the notice of the Director of the college within 24 hours of occurrence of the grievances.
Ragging /any type of misconduct towards any student either in the college campus or outside will be considered as criminal offence and will be immediately reported to the Police. Perpetrators will not be permitted to continue the studies- The Court orders related to this subject will be strictly followed. Each student & Parent will have to complete on-line registration of anti-ragging affidavit at the beginning of each semester.
University examinations will be held at the end of 1&2 combined semester and end of each semesters thereafter for each subject of instruction as per the University schedules. There will be internal examinations conducted by the college to assess progress and to assign continuous assessment marks.
Students are to follow the college dress code (Uniform) as prescribed. Any one found violating the above instruction will be asked to leave the campus immediately and will loose day's attendance. They are also to be in Uniform when they represent the college elsewhere for attending seminars; placement drives, etc to uphold the pride and esteem of the college. Students are to display their identity cards at all times when they are in the college campus and representing the College elsewhere.
